Avon History

This collection contains different items that shed light on the development of this small town in the north eastern part of Lorain County. Just over 20 square miles and originally organized in the early 1800's, Avon became a city in 1961. The population has grown from around 1400 in 1920 to just over 25,000 in 2020.
