Lorain firefighters at the scene of the March 3, 1928 fire which destroyed the Century Block and Pierce Block buildings on Broadway Avenue. Also destroyed was a shoe store and the Lorain Banking Company. Ice is visible on the windows of the damaged buildings. Many people can be seen standing at the sidewalk north of the buildings on the corner of Sixth street and Broadway avenue. Signs for an unidentified insurance and realty business can be seen on the building, as can a marquee sign reading "Liberal". On the back of this photograph is the same writing as on the previous photo of the fire. See link to previous photo. https://loraincountymemory.org/items/show/2343.
