Carnegie Library Building

Circa 1930 - 1950 / Main Library

The original Lorain Public Library building was located at 329 W 10th street. The Carnegie Foundation provided $30,000 towards its construction. The library was dedicated on May 30, 1904.

In 1957, Lorain Public Library moved to its present location on 6th Street.
