Microfilm Reader-Printer

1974-03 / Main Library

Two patrons use library technology for their own research. The machine on the left is a microfilm reader-printer. The library purchased it in March 1974. At that time, microfilm reader-printers were among the newest types of technology available for use in libraries. A user could use this machine to look at microfilm scans of old newspaper pages.. Microfilm is still one of the best ways to access archived newspapers or other fragile documents.
