"1970" is hand-printed on the reverse of the postcard.
The description of the photograph on the postcard is described on the top left corner of the back of the postcard:
"LORAIN, OHIO: Looking north showing the Broadway business section and the Harbor Entrance on the Black River. The Erie Ave. Bascule Bridge spans the river. The Lorain Coast Guard Station and the small boat harbor are in the background."
The publisher of the postcard is given as Ohio Natural Color Card Company, Columbus-Cleveland, Ohio. The postcard was printed using the "Plastichrome" process by Colourpicture Publishers, Inc, Boston 15, Mass, U.S.A. On the bottom of the postcard at the back is the statement "Color by Howard Studios, Cleveland 15, Ohio."
