A newspaper advertisement for Wickens & Ransom furniture and carpet store at 225 -7-9 Broadway avenue, Lorain, Ohio. This advertisement was published in the Lorain Daily News on March 30, 1907.

The store was founded and operated by George W. Wickens, who was a longtime businessman and funeral director in Lorain from the 1870s until his death in 1908. George Wickens also owned and operated the Parkside Chapel funeral home on West Erie avenue near Lorain City Hall. Wickens briefly served as mayor from 1894 to 1896 and later served on Lorain City Council.
