A colorized illustrated postcard view of Broadway avenue looking south from Erie Avenue. The postcard illustration is drawn and is not a photo. The title of the postcard, seen at the top left of the front of the card, is "Broadway looking South, Lorain, Ohio. "

A Lorain Street Railway car can be seen traveling on Broadway approaching the "Loop". There are names of businesses or agencies visible in the photo. The business on the left is titled "Cleveland-Lorain". The business on the right is titled "McConnells".

On the reverse of the postcard, which was addressed to "Mrs. Carl Schmidt, Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio" is the following note, written by Mrs. E.L. Glotz , Lorain, Ohio.: "Friend; Just a card to let you know I still think of you. We are both well and hope you are the same. It has been quite warm here for the last few days. Harriet".

The postcard is stamped with the date "Aug 12, 11" and "Lorain Ohio".
