Ted Rink is a fifth generation member of the Rink farming family. The original farm was located at 3511 Long Road. Today Ted lives just two doors down.
In his interview, Ted discusses growing up on farm in Avon during the 1940s and 1950s and the way expansion has changed Avon from a small country town to a thriving suburb. Attached are photos of his family and original farm, the history of the land purchases of the Rink Farm, as well as a map of Avon Township from 1874.
